Step 1: Testing
PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF THE SELECTION PROCESS, THE APPLICANT MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS:
- BASIC ABILITIES TEST (BAT score valid for 4 years) - $39.00 fee (Click Here to Register)
- Please sign up for the correct test; COBAT for Corrections and LEBAT for Law Enforcement
- Check with the Selection Center if you qualify for the BAT Exemption (Degree or Military); for Law Enforcement only per FDLE
- Test provided in Room 127 every Monday and Tuesday @ the TCPSTC
- PHYSICAL AGILITY TEST (PRACTICE TEST) - $40.00 fee (Click Here to Register)
- You must bring a copy of the completed Medical Waiver for PAT Form which may be located at the bottom of this page
- You may use the same Medical Waiver for both the Practice and Official PAT if within six months of one another
Step 2: Application
Once the above testing is successfully completed,
the Selection Process will begin.
Please allow at least 90 days or more prior to the projected start date of an academy.
The applicant must download the Application Packet found at the end of this section which includes the following:

Personal History Questionnaire with 750-word handwritten OR typed Autobiography (to be submitted with Application)

CJSTC Form 75 (Original Form; not a copy)*

*A medical examination from a licensed physician is required with the Personal History Questionnaire; however, is not included as part of the Selection Center Processing Fees.
The completed CJSTC Form 75 must be submitted with the Personal History Questionnaire.
PLEASE NOTE: Pursuant to s. 943.16(6) F.S., the applicant must have passed the physical examination by a licensed physician, physician assistant, or licensed advanced practice registered nurse, based on specifications established by the commission. The physician credentials may only be that of a MD, DO, ARNP, PA and cannot be a Chiropractor/DC.
Applicants MUST provide the Physical Fitness Conditioning Program with the Physical Fitness Training Plan to the medical provider completing the form CJSTC Form 75 per FDLE.
Applicants must schedule an appointment with the Selection Center Coordinator to return their COMPLETED Application Packet. INCOMPLETE packets will not be accepted and appointments will be rescheduled.

Step 3: Processing
The Region XI Selection Center Processing Fee is
$600 which includes two phases of testing ($135 and $465)
==> Phase I payment is due prior to your scheduled interview and appointment with the Selection Center Coordinator.
==> Phase II payment is not due until you have successfully passed Phase I and the Selection Center has contacted you with instructions on Phase II and when to make your payment.

- Final Comprehensive Assessment

An additional fee of $30.00 (CASH ONLY) will be charged for the drug screen by the lab.
This is discussed at first interview.
All tests except the medical examination will be scheduled
by Selection Center Personnel.
